One Love Manchester


On Sunday, Ariana Grande hosted a benefit concert to help the city, Manchester, from a recently attack. The attack happened near Ariana Grande but after. It had killed 23 adults and children which caused the city and the world to be in shock. Ariana Grande responded from the attack by having this concert. An estimated 11 million people watch the concert on youtube and a sold out crowd of 50,000 people. She had also invited some other singers such as Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Little MIx, Mac Miller, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Coldplay and Pharrell. They all came with joy to spread to the crowd. Justin Bieber said to the crowd “God is good in the midst of the evil. God is good in the midst of the darkness. He loves you” while holding back some tears. While he was performing one memorable moment was a police officer dancing with younger kids. It had showed joy to the world of how the city can come together. Another moment was when Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande sang together of the song Don’t Dream It’s Over. It had made lots of people happy and they wanted to tell people how no matter the problem we can come together and help those in need. To end the concert Ariana Grande sang One Last Time as it had more meaning of the song after the attack. If you didn’t get the chance to see it then you missed out. The concert overall raised 2 million euros which is $2,247,280 in U.S dollars. The money will go to the families of the lost ones as we will always remember them.
