Sage-Rat Run

It’s that time of year once again! Every year in the 3rd week of may is when the Sage Rat Run returns Prosser, this year falling on May 20th. The likely reason for the name is because of the dozens of sage rats the runners will encounter throughout their trail along the full half marathon route! This will be the 8th running year for the event, and there are 5 different distance options at 4 different start times based on your preference and ability. At 8:00 am, the half marathon starts. The other marathons include the 10k and 12k which will start at 9:00 am, an hour after the half marathon would begin, then at 10:00 am, the 5k starts, and the final marathon of the day would be the kids mile, which starts at 11:00 am. In total, the entire marathon will officially last 4 hours, after this time, the course will still be open to runners, but course support closes. When the runners reach the end point in Prosser, they will be greeted by booths of local community organizations and food!
