Super Bowl 51

The Atlanta Falcons faced the New England Patriots on Sunday Feb. 5, 2017 in Super Bowl 51. Being the #1 scoring offense vs. the #1 scoring defense, almost every football fan knew this game was gonna be a good one. It's the first quarter and both teams are held scoreless, 2nd quarter comes along and the Falcons put up 21 points meanwhile the Patriots with only 3. At halftime people already started thinking that the game was over, that there was no way the Patriots can comeback. Throughout the halftime show, Lady Gaga was the star of the Pepsi halftime show as she had an amazing and acrobatic performance. She performed multiple songs some from her new album “Joanne” including popular throwback songs. Another reason halftime was a must-watch was because of the super bowl ads, lots of people were looking forward to them and some even just watch the super bowl just for the ads. Halftime ends and the third quarter starts, the Falcons score again to make it 28-3. At this point there was no coming back for the Patriots everyone thought the Falcons already won. In the final minutes of the third quarter the Patriots score two field goals making the score be 28-9. Fourth quarter starts and the Patriots put up 19 unanswered points in the fourth quarter including a two point conversion that tied up the game to force overtime. Everyone was shocked and just couldn't believe the comeback, also it was the first time in super bowl history that the game had gone to overtime. Patriots win the coin toss and decide to receive the ball. Tom Brady and his team just start going down the field like nothing, Falcons defense just couldn't stop them and once New England reached the last two yards they gave it to James White for a two yard winning touchdown. History was made this day by the Patriots being the first team ever to come back from a 25 point deficit. Falcons fans were absolutely heartbroken because they were so close to tasting Super Bowl glory.
