Lady Hounds Fighting for District Spot

On wednesday night Grandview Girls played a home game vs Prosser for a makeup game. Not only was it the last home game for the regular season but the last time for 2 seniors to play at home. Vanessa Caballero and Natasha Jones. So it made the Lady Hounds want to win even more. The start of the game was going back and forth with the ball just trying to make a shot but both teams played great defense and had some good shots that couldn't go in. Grandview only scored 5 points and Prosser scored 7 points in the 1st quarter. They ended the 2nd Quarter with 12-13 Prosser leading. Coming back from the locker room they knew that they would have to fight harder to win. Ending the 3rd quarter Grandview was in the lead with 25-23 but they still had one more quarter left. With 3:38 left in the game it was all tied up 31-31 but at the end of the game it was Prosser that got the win. Junior Grace Meza had 11 points, 3 assists and 2 steals, Senior Vanessa Caballero had 2 points with 8 rebounds, and Sophomore Michelle Ruiz added 8 points and 5 rebounds . Lady Hounds will play their last regular season game against the Wildcats @Toppenish on Friday and will have to win in order to advance to Districts.
