A Glimpse in The Life of MLK


Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights leader he was born on January 15, 1929. Non violent protest, and speeches King helped organize the Montgomery bus boycott, which lasted over a year. Martin Luther King Jr. was a minister who helped spread love he wanted to change how people looked at each other and bring people together. He didn't give up standing up for what he believed in. King died in April in 1968. 1983 President Ronald Reagan signed a bill creating a national holiday to remember King's life, and accomplishments. In memory of Martin Luther King Jr. there will not be school on January 16.
