Getting the Jitters Out to Unravel the Start of the Season

As the start of the season took place in Yakima at Eisenhower High School for the annual Takedown jamboree, Maria Reyes says she’s happy she got the jitters of the season out and was glad she got to see her sister and cousin wrestle. In general she feels like there wasn't enough girls but it was good overall. She says she feels like she did pretty good but she should have worked on different shots, The first match she says she could have done better and took more shots, her second match she felt she did much better and did good. At the beginning she was concerned about her conditioning, she says she would have prepared more and got in better condition and again took more shots. Her motivation is her mom, she pushes her to not give up and her coach always motivates her to go to the practices. She wants to give her mom, Angel Arriaga, Daniela Tello, and her coach a special shoutout and is very thankful for them and the support they give them.
